Today we have a guest post from Victoria M. Silverio, M.S. who is a Special Educator, Parent Educator, and a Parent.
There are many Match It! products by The Learning Journey that can be used for children that have delays or special needs. Each Match It! game can be modified by simply removing some of the choices and playing the games with two choice cards at a time. For example, if matching letter cards to picture cards – only have one choice available, and as the child is successful increase their choices (A for Apple, then A for apple B for Bumble Bee). I’ve had great success with this, being a behavior interventionist. During my therapy sessions with special needs students, they are focused on a fun game while learning through a modified activity.
Do any other educators out there have different ways that they use our products in the classroom?
